New Voters' Registration Day
New Voter’s Registration Day, an awareness program was organized at premise of Nalbari College, by Dept. of Political Science, Nalbari College in association with District election Officer, Nalbari.
Brief profile of the Department: Political science as a subject of study was introduced in the curriculum of Nalbari College since the birth of college in 1945. However, the honour (presently Major) in political science was introduced in the year of 1962. The political Science as a subject is very dynamic in state as well as in larger society. It imparts basic knowledge to the students pertaining to researches on socio-economic, political and environmental issues. Growing of relevance of the subject is evident from the enrollment of huge number of students in both Major and Pass courses. The department is committed to guide the students for different jobs options available and also tries to encourage them to appear in the state and central level competitive examination. The Department ensures to make aware to the learners about the democracy as well as social responsibility of the country.
