SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India which objective is to take the best teaching learning resources to all by bridging the digital divide for students.
From 2014, NPTEL, which is one of the national coordinators of SWAYAM, has been offering online certification for its courses, through which the student gets an opportunity to
earn a certificate from the IITs.
